Best midi controller without need for external power?

REally for the drums, any suggestions.

Nanopad2 - apparently the last nanopad kept dying so not sure what the quality is like for the 2

LP8 - Drive me insane with 8 pads though

    Nano pad is cool. But, everything works better with a powered USB hub.

    i been using akai mpk mini, and works great, keyboard, drum pads and knobs! and it doesnt need any external power
