    Haha. Now you have the power with BM2 to be the next dnb king!

    Check out some YouTube vids of some live drum and bass drummers. I was amazed at what some of these guys pull off with sticks and skins!

    I'm going to venture into a little dnb on BM2 myself. Why not? I love the music and BM2 is very capable.

    Question ? When using audiobus, and trying to use/create a 2nd track. How do I keep it separate from the first track I recorded.

    First time I did it...added the 2nd audio track with the 2nd empty preset to use a different sound but it just overlapped the 1st. Want it separate.

    My terminology isn't too good, I know.

    Thanks

    Just be sure to disarm the previous track before recording...

    When you say "using bm2 for d & b", do you mean like having the amen break loop in a single pad or actually trying to emulate the amen break with different pads playing the snare and kick? I've always just played diff variations of amen break at diff speeds and diff loop sections for unique timings.

    @vog
    Just curious... Legend has it that sequencers "behave" better at higher bpm's.

    I'm currently working on a few drum and bass tracks in beatmaker 2. Although I only use beatmaker as a drum machine and to midi out to other synths before importing into auria. The effects in beatmaker really limits the sound sculpting ability of the app when it's come to drum and bass. Auria has a good selection of plugins for distortion, filtering etc etc. After I import to auria I usually export stems back, out to beatmaker to continue the writing process... I noticed theres a lack of anything drum and bass in the ios world so I'm currently working on some sound banks for ios synths. Also working on a drum and bass sample pack for beatmaker that will be crammed full of useable sounds. Watch out for some DigitaResonance sample packs and presets banks soon. There will be free packs available soon and commercial packs to follow. Stay tuned :)

    Well I guess it depends on your definition of drum and bass sounds, I have been producing drum and bass under various psydonyms for 17 years or there abouts. I also own a fair few synths and apps for ios and pretty much all of them by themselves are very much lacking in features to make serious drum and bass. Drum and bass by its vert nature requires heavy amounts of processing to achieve "That sound" ask anyone who is signed up to a drum and bass label. Drum and bass isn't just anything at 175 bpm. I haven't found one preset sound on any one (high quality) synth that I could use fresh off the bat for drum and bass production. That is why the DigitalResonance Sound series is being developed. The sounds are specifically tailored for instant use and there is even a description for presets that will helpu get the best out of them... Also for beginners and armatures and pros alike its handy to have a good solid collection all in one place.

    Yes I agree that ios samplers are lacking features also I think they lack decent fx too. Except for auria which has fabfilter plugins but unfortunately no sampler..
  • Looking forward to your sample packs, DigRes!

    Animoog is fantastic for drum and bass and so are most ios synths and that's why we are focusing on making sounds for these synths. We want to provide preset packs for all the synths we like to use. We want to provide a whole arsenal of good usable sounds for genres like drum and bass, breakbeat, dub step. Yeah I guess I was being a little harsh but to be fair to have whole banks of drum and bass ready sounds is ideal for any budding drum and bass producer who needs some inspiration or just a goto pack for laying down quick ideas with ought having to program your own sounds from scratch. All our sounds are carefully crafted to suite these styles and a lot of time and effort has gone into not remaking the same old sounds you have heard thousands of times on various synths. Instead we thought u might like big bold instant gratification of some real speaker busting sounds.... Free pack called Torque for sunrizer synth is on its way for the all the Drum and Bass heads... To be followed up with a Beatmaker sample back of the same name featuring those very sounds but with loops, midi files, drum hits and more...
  • No worries fella @Alien Brain
  • Beatmaker pack is nearly finished guys.. Should have a lite version available for free with over 400 sounds on it or there abouts.. Drum hits, loops, bass multi samples, leads, keys, pads, well u get the idea. All designed for Drum and bass, breaks, dubstep etc. Will be putting up a demo of the bank soon. In the meantime here's a link to a demo video for the sunrizer preset pack. The video isn't great but making videos is new for us. :)
  • Can't find the DigitalResonance site ?

    Does it exist yet ?
