Samples pitch in keyboard presets
Hi,
I'm working on a sample based piece and I've tried to create a new keyboard preset using my sample.
My initial idea was to be able to use the keyboard filtering and LFOs, that are (unfortunately) not available in a drum machine track.
What I've realized is that when I map a sample to a keyboard zone, the sample is automatically pitched in each key to match the scale (which is what I expected). BUT, the sample is not only pitched, it's also time-stretched accordingly (tempo is changed).
Am I correct? is this usually how it is done?
Is there any method to create a preset without the tempo change (in BM2 or an external tool)?
This would have been very useful for a sample-chop arrangement.
Thanks for your help.
