Downgrade

edited March 2013 in Support
With all the crackling and distortion of 2.4.4 - does anyone know how I can downgrade, or do I need to move away from BM2 and rebuild my projects in an alternative tool?

    Here is what they said- right above where you posted in the other thread-
    "With the introduction of 2.4.3 and 2.4.4, we've changed the default audio latency to 256 frames to provide better responsiveness to Audiobus connected apps. Some older devices, such as the iPad 2, might be overloaded if your project uses a lot of instruments, effects and audio tracks.

    However, we are preparing the 2.4.5 update which will bring back the latency setting."

    Have you tried letting audiobus force BM2 to 512 frames?

    So I've got to buy Audiobus just to set its latency settings which will then change BM2's latency setting?

    No, not necessarily.. I thought everyone was on the bus.. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

    In reality maybe you've maxed out your iPad. Which one are you using?
    How are you able to compose with such high latency settings?

    Maybe it was a bad idea to remove the latency settings, but they've already stated they are going to bring it back, so why complain on multiple threads that BM2 is all crackly and distorted when its clear that your project is too much to handle at 256 frames?
    Just hang on until the update, it will all work out!

    Guess you're right. I'm just concerned it will take them months to get the next release out. I was very close to finishing up a few key projects and in a creative super-zone. Now I've got to sit tight and do nothing until who knows when. Just wish I hadn't upgraded quite so quickly but I've learnt that lesson at least.

    Time to hit Amplitube with the guitar I think...

    Thanks for your help!

    I am also on your ship , I got ipad mini and I see that beatmaker really slowed down and most effects are now more creackling when automating things. Let me just give you one tip , try to restar ipad , turn off wifi and ale what helped me most of times when I had performance problem is when you turn off network midi , or best all midi settings and other unused things.
