Creating Folders / adding to folder

edited April 2013 in Support
Hi
I'm having a bit of a clear up of my recorded samples. Is there any way to select a group of samples from my content folder and put them into a newly created folder? I can create a folder I know that much but having trouble adding files to it. The only way I have been able to do this is by opening the audio file and re-saving it into a new folder. But this then causes location problems when opening the song again. Ok...Might've answered my own question here! Its probably easier to re-save each project (and files) in its own project folder and then delete the previous ones!
Thanks

Actually that would be quite tedious and take a lot of time because some songs have many audiocopied audio files in them (like whole drum kits for example). So yes i guess what im looking for is a way to move all my audio files into a new folder and Beatmaker search and find those files when i open the project again. Will this be an added feature? Thanks

You would think something as basic as a file structure would be better by said current version, but you would be wrong. Bm2 has the most lossy file system of all my collection of apps...it just saves over things, loses things, cant piece things back together...render stems often or you will lose your work...it will happen.

Oh and the filezilla or cyberduck thing for transfer...bahahaha good luck

These is just a workaround,a little bit tedious but it work:
1-move the file you want in to your dropbox
2-make a new folders in beatmaker
3-copy files from dropbox to the new folders
    4-delete old files

I've just realised " Save project as " + "COPY SAMPLES" option ticked = easiest way to move samples linked to projects around , as it creates a new sample folder in your chosen directory along with the linked BM2 file . You can then delete original files/folders.

For the record , I also discovered whist trying to reorganise my file folders that .bmk2 files will not be recognised if moved into sub folders using ifunbox from the main " user folder ".
The only way ,it seems, to move a .bmk2 file into a subfolder is by opening the project and
then using " save as " into chosen subfolder .

I've just spent a day with headaches finding this out..hope this saves others the hassle !
