A couple of newbie questions...

edited April 2013 in General
Hi all,

I'm new to digital music making and I'm looking to get a daw and beatmaker's name keeps coming up. Before I splash the cash there's a coupe of things I'd like to find out. The first is a simple question - can I import mp3 files from my iTunes library to work on?

The second question is also a request for a bit of assistance so here goes. What I want to do is to take a section of a song and loop it (something I'm presuming you can do easily in beatmaker?). The thing I'm struggling with is sampling the beginning part of Springsteen by Eric Church (the point up to the vocal entry) and looping it smoothly. Whenever I try to do it in apps like GarageBand I get a judder or a slight pause as the ends don't meet up seamlessly.

Apologies if the description is a bit rubbish!

Thanks!

Did you tap tempo with it or find the bpm some how?

That could be the problem also you may need to add a fade out to some loops to get them to be seamless.

Also as for you first question you can. But BM2 will convert them to wav. Just go to "ipod import", which you will find if you click the icon with the ipod and computer in it,I believe it should be their. But yeah it is possible!

You should also read the manual as it will help you with many things.

    Good Luck!
