Sample rate change to 48k ???

I realise the ipad is set at 44.1k but are there any plans (or would it be at all possible) to reconfigure it to 48k ??

Reason being, I want to use it with my babyface (which works),
into a number of different Yamaha digital consoles using the Adat lightpipes.... but I don't want to keep changing my standard setup for post which is obviously set at 48k.

    At this point it is not possible to configure the sampling rate / bit depth of the audio engine.
    However, this is something we consider adding in the future.
