Bismark or Sampletank in BM2 with audiobus

edited April 2013 in General
Would anyone recommend these?

I know sampletank on a computer is amazing but have never played with it on an idevice.

I also read that bismark supports sound fonts. Would anyone recommend either of these?

Bismark definitely. Full 16 MIDI channels, ships with a reasonably good General MIDI SoundFont, and is light on CPU so plays well with AudioBus. The MIDI implementation is pretty good too.

I woud add that Bismark is the only Synth I know of that does support full General MIDI. Which mens it will play any MIDI file you might find on the web, and that if you build a sequence that it okays then that sequence can be shipped generally too, as long as you start each track with a Program Change to set which patch is played on which channel.

Without General MIDI exvhanging songs as MIDI files is problematic at best, and requires that anybody trying to play the file has to have the same synths in the same configuration. This information is not part of the MIDI file spec.
