Bug Report - Midi in

edited May 2013 in Support
Hi,

BM2 has a bug where midi sent to audio track controls (eg track volume, send amount, etc) are reset on reaching the loop start point. To replicate the bug, make an audio track put a sample on it, set it to loop, use midi to automate volume, send etc - then on loop start all midi will be reset to default values.

Many thanks, & all the best <3

    Hi,

This bug I reported a few times - many months ago...
But Intua always ignored it. And other forum members tried to tell me that this is a "feature". <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

It still seems to be the "philosophy/priority" of Intua to implement more and more not finished features - instead of fixing/completing old ones. Sad but true...

I have no clue why in loop mode a sequence would have to reset at the beginning... Intua???

    Hi,
I understand this could be an issue to some regards, especially if you use a controller.

It seemed right at the time we implemented automations, when there was no MIDI integration possible.

We agree this behaviour should be changed for version 2.5, having it replaced by something similar to Live & Logic.

Let us know what you think !

    Cheers,
    Vincent
  • Vincent,
Thanks for your reply... Yes, when loop mode is enabled the automation should not reset when returning to the loop start.
If loop mode is off, it may be ok, assuming the song has been created and there is a need for the automation to reset.
Alternatively, there could be a "jam" mode or something if the above doesn't work.
    Looking forward to 2.5!!!!
  • yes please.
