Ghost tracks, or hidden tracks?

New to digital recording so perhaps I am going about it the wrong way. What I would like to do is sidechain a kick track through a bass track. I have created both tracks, and set up the sidechaining. I want to hear the bass track and how it is affected by the kick I just don't want to hear the kick track. Muting and lowering the volume on the kick track, stops the sidechaining. Is there a way for me to set this up in Beatmaker 2.

    Yes instead of lowering the volume hit the mute button at the bottom of its channel.. This should be what your looking for. I know u said muting doesn't achieve this but it does for me... I'm running the latest update but I'm sure that makes no difference..

    Thanks...I tried it again using the mute button and it worked. I must have had the volume lowered the first time I muted.
