Anyone still use Audiobus with BM2?

edited December 2013 in General
Well I was wondering if anyone used Audiobus still with BM2 since the io7 update? Has the ios7 update affected BM2 audiobus performance.

Also what are some of the ways you guys use audiobus currently when it comes to work flow? For instance do you like to use any particular instrument apps since the software instruments in BM2 are not the best according to the some of the users here?

I was just curious and thought it would be interesting to read the responses in here. So that is why I'm asking this question.

    Yeah Synths @alien_brain

Lol and I meant like which apps do you guys like to use specifically?
  • Since ios7, I have been having issues with audiobus and virtual MIDI. Therefore, I am currently using all of the expansion packs in the Intua store for Beatmaker2 until things get better.
  • Excellent reply @alien, you have yet to post any helpful information.
As far as virtual midi goes, I just don't use it. It's always been problematic on iOS, except for a handful of apps:

  • So IAA vs Audiobus? what are the pros and cons of both?
  • It's probably the speed of my ipad(3) and the buggy audio of ios7 but when I have an interface connected, as soon as I open up any IAA instrument or try to use audio bus the audio breaks up immediately and I have to unplug and plug my interface back in.
  • Damn that sucks man. I got an air so maybe it works better but thats terrible. Maybe it's because ios 7 probably takes up a lot more Ram.
  • I use it with AB all the time. This alongside turnado, sunrizer, magellan, animoog, ivoxel, ielectribe, live fx and many others. All this on ipad air. I'm looking forward to imminent release of audiobus 2 with flexible routing!
P.s. I find bm 2 hangs for a microsecond when swiping from another app into bm2 and vice versa. This also happens with out audiobus when bm2 is controlling other synths via midi.
  • @Supadom yeah it sucks but on another note thanks for your input. I have to try out some of those apps you mentioned in your post soon.
