timestretch loops - tune setting resets with manual tempo change?

I have yet to try with incoming midi sync - which will be my only real use for this anyway. But playing around with loops setting up for tempo sync by setting bar length in the 2nd tune page - when I go to test and change tempo manually in Beatmaker 2 the sample sync settings seem to get cleared. The stretching works, as I can change tempo set tune length and hear the difference. But getting cleared doesn't allow to change tempo without going back and setting up each sample again. Does this also happen with incoming midi sync tempo changes? What can I do differently or is there a workaround?
