help please: routing audio to BM2 with a iConnectAudio 4+
Either there is something wrong with my iPad or me.
- my analog audio source is plugged into Jacks 3 and 4
- i can monitor the IN signal on the Audio 4+
- my iPad is connected via USB bus 1
- the audio patchbay is configured like this:
- in BM2 I create a new audio instrument and set it up like this:
Now, I would expect to hear the input (monitored) from BM2, but no, I don't. I can also not record anything this way.
The same happens btw, when I do the same via audiobus.
On the other hand it works with Voice Synth.
And: the behaviour was exactly the same, when I used an Alesis IOdock.
Did I get something basically wrong or is it my iPad (iPad 2, iOS 7.1.2)????

In general settings of BM "access to mic" was turned off. Turning it on solved all my problems since one year!! With the Alesis IODock, later with the iConnectAudio4+ and since a few days even with my new iPad Air2, which I bought, not only but also to solve this problem.
I cannot stop shaking my head for my own blindness AND (and this goes to intua) what a bad naming of a feature can cause! Actually I never ever expected for this switch to completely disable ANY audio input!!! For me it clearly means the inbuilt microphone.
Well, I am an optimistic person, so the good thing it had, is that I now have a cool new Audio/MIDI interface and a poweful new iPad.
iConnectivity and Apple say "thank you very much" to intua for this
