BM2 to BM3 project file import

Buried in one of Intua Facebook threads I saw someone asking about importing BM2 project files into BM3. I have hundreds of BM2 files with automation that I don't want to have to start from scratch on in BM3. Do I understand correctly you need people to let you know BM2 to BM3 file import is extremely important?
