Strange Ableton Link Behavior between Beatmaker 3 and Beatmaker 2

I had BM2 running in sync with BM3 for a few days. Recently, however, experiencing this:

When I link the two apps, BM2 runs fine (set to loop 4 bars). BM3 only plays the first bar of a 4 bar pattern. When I disable the Link, BM3 resumes playing the entire pattern.

I've tried combinations of starting BM3 first or second. Turning on Link on BM3 first, then BM2...same result. Restarted apps and ipad. Turned off all midi input and output...

So...???

    Follow up... tried again...issue seems to have stopped in it's own. Guess I'll be back if it happens again...
