DigMe - Zeked (laid-back electronic)

I created the main cello sample and the glockenspiel samples for this using Creative's Vienna Soundfont Studio. I had one pad with the 4 chord cello sample and 4 pads each with a single glockenspiel note or chord. The rest of the pads were rhythm/drums, piano, the sort of subtle ghostly high-pitched drone and the bleep.

I used the pitch editor a LOT for this one. I had three pads with the single C# piano note from one of the stock kits. I used those to create chords using pitch editor. Also I used the single bleep sound to create the little recurring melody that you first hear at the break early in the song.

I originally wanted the cellos to sound more natural. The way they ended up though they almost have a mellotronish quality that I like.

Hope you enjoy it and please leave comments here.

Dude you get a lot out of the iPhone, no doubt. Zeked is your best tune by far. I dig the pitch editor stuff, nice melodies.

    Good track, excellent qualities.
