BM2 question: Can you merge tracks?

I had a track with a melody 8 bars in length. Now I decided I need an anacrusis so I added a bar but now I have two sections a one measure section and an 8 bar section how can I merge these into one 9 bar section? Can I if so how?

    if you mean how do you merge two patterns on one track, you just select both of them with the select tool, then click the far left contextual icon at top right that looks kinda like a cassette tape, or a box with a bone inside it, and it'll merge the patterns.
