Receive midi from multiple sources

Reeeeeeeally want to use multiple midi sources sent to one pad... Is there a simple workaround?

In AUM I can have stuff like steppolyarp and quantum both pointed at Tardigrain. Sequence notes from quantum and cc from steppolyarp. Dead easy... Would be great to see this flexibility in 3.1 (or after...) when it drops.
