Tweaking brusfri causes tempo to run wild and unstoppable

I was tweaking brusfri in an attempt to clean up a mic recording, when suddenly the audio stopped. Project started running at an insane tempo (it was looping a few bars). Hitting stop greyed out the play button, but the ‘beats’ display kept showing the beats and bars shooting by. No apparent way to stop it.
Restarting beatmaker 3 solved the problem, for now.
