I don't think this has ever come up before, and I've certainly never had a problem with the metronome in 18 months of use.
Perhaps there is a setting, or other issue which is causing your 'inaccuracy' - can you explain a little more about what you are doing and what you are using in your track (eg plugins, effects, samples?)
Metronome is sample accurate as far as i know (most accurate any audio software can be) is it at all possible you have input quantize on and notes are being moved by that ?
