Inconsistent behavior of multi-selection of events/sequences

When I’m in the song view I can select a number of patterns and deselect some of them.
It doesn’t work that way in the midi editor.
I don’t know if it’s a bug or on purpose hence why in the feature request category...
Would be very beneficial for midi editing.
