BM 3 - Problem

I just installed BeatMaker nearly one week ago on my iPad. Now I have the possibility to record tracks to BeatMaker.

  • First I selected the pad which I want to record on
  • Then selected input
  • Then my video interface
  • After that, I could see the monitor levels
  • Then I clicked start

After all, BM is waiting. I cannot get it to record a sample. But I have the possibility to get BM to record audio tracks when I’m in the track view. What did I miss?

    What was the 'Threshold' set to? If it's too high recording never starts...

    Personally I would love to see a immediate start of recording since the minimum -60db threshold can sometimes cut off quick transients as there is no 'pre-roll buffer' of any kind...

    I've sometimes found the record arm setting for audio tracks gets confused.

    In my experience if you toggle arm / disarm / re-arm (ON/OFF/ON) recording on the audio track it works without fault.

    Hope this makes sense
