BM3 not recognizing Audio Technica BT Headphones

Hey all,

As the title says, my BM3 is not playing audio via my Audio Technica BT 2 Headphones. I am using them together with my Ipad Pro 11.
The ipad does work with the headphones though. Spotify for example is not a problem.
Any hints?

    Maybe important to mention: talking about bluetooth connection only. Connecting via cable does work
