Samples created in Ableton Live then put together in beatmaker. The link includes mp3 and separate samples.

Thats ace!, well done, hopefully il be able to achieve things like this once i get used to the application.

is this a sample pack you made yourself?, im trying to get some dance/hardcore beatpacks, but i dont know where to get some decent loops of melodies and basslines.

keep up the good work!

thanks for the positive comments the samples were made using the Tension (virtual string) instrument in ableton live. there's an option in live to export as loop which takes into consideration any delay or reverb which needs to passed back to the beginning of the loop, and so helps to flow one loop into another.
btw feel free to use any of the loops to create a new kit.

nice beat man. am i understanding this right... you exported your loops from live? then built a loop-based track in beatmaker?

yes, each loop is on a separate pattern and then arranged in the song sequencer. Two of the samples are duplicated and reversed and one of them was chopped to play jut a section. Because most of the loops are 2 bars there needs to be a blank space in the song sequencer to play through before being retriggered.

hmmm... that's cool... definitely a lot different than if you had done all the sequencing within beatmaker - building your loops in beatmaker as opposed to using outside software. That's a pretty significant contribution to the overall process.

that's really good, if you've not heard of an artist called Emancipator check him out, he's on myspace and he's got songs which are very similar to this!
I'm gonna have to read the manual so i can start making awesome tracks like this

Absolutely beautiful and very musical. I listened to this about a week ago and it is one of the tracks that inspired me to try to make real music with BeatMaker instead of just sequencer-sounding beats - i.e. showed the potential to get a real musical feeling with groove and velocity, using pitch shifting to get complex chords and melodies, and adding some song structure. The other one that inspired me was "Under the Tree" by jason7. Keep up the great work!
