I tried Midibridge and couldn't get it to work. I didn't try opening the apps in a different order though. Maybe that has something to do with it...

1. Start MidiBridge and connect MidiBridge on left to MidiBridge on right as the only connections. Don't connect anything else.

2. Start BM2 and touch the 'i' button and go into MIDI SETUP. Turn all inputs off except MidiBridge. Exit out of the MIDI setup and load up a sound.

3. Launch Beatsurfing and configure it to send MIDI events to MidiBridge.

BM2 should then respond to Beatsurfing

"configure it to send MIDI events to MidiBridge."

Can you explain what this means?

I have done everything you said:
- midi bridge->midi bridge connection
- BM2 midiin set to midibridge
- BM2 global setting 'virtual midi on'

I can get beatsurfing to control animoog, made some shapes and have them sending midi on channel 1. It works fine, I hear the sound outputted while in beatsurfing.

Thinking this should work similar for BM2 I set up a drum machine in BM2, set it's midi channel to 2 and try to trigger some midi in beatsurfing on channel 2... nothing...

Can anyone shed light on what is going on here? I'm using an IPAD 2, latest version of beatsurfing, BM2 version 2.2

-update-

I can confirm this method does work, just started firing off drums now

Not sure what was up, seems like a rookie mistake, was firing off the wrong midi notes i.e. the ones that didn't match up with the pads on the drum machine in BM2.

sooooo anyway, anyone looking to make BM2 and Beatsurfing work, this is the thread!

This works too >
I haven't used midi bridge and thought I might have to buy it, but for some strange reason I can get everything working perfectly if I have Modrum running in the background.
If you have it, start Modrum first.
Remember to switch Omni off in Beatmaker and assign specific midi channels for all your instruments.
If you don't wanna use Modrum as an instrument then simply assign it to a channel you don't need. (if you do wanna use it, check the midi implementation chart http://www.finger-pro.com/public/doc/modrum_2_1_midi_implementation_chart.pdf -)

So far - 2 kits, 2 instruments in Beatmaker 2 (with cc automation too) working with Nlogsynth Pro and Animoog while Modrum is running. No glitches, no problems. Awesome. Close Modrum and the connection to Beatmaker is lost -
