    Hi,

We're currently waiting to receive AKAI's SDK to be able to add SynthStation support to BM2.
Please stay tuned for more info soon.

    Cheers,
    Colin

    Hi,

Currently the SynthStation SDK does not work with latest Apple development tools (XCode 4 and iOS 5 SDK).
We're following the developments by AKI on these matters, but unfortunately SS25 support has been postponed until further notice.
    We'll keep you posted.

    Cheers,
    Colin

The synthstation app doesn't work but other apps that allow the use of the keyboard works just fine. Nlog synth and Nano studio. Let's move forward!!! New discussion after Update. We're late but yet so early

Please make it work, pretty please.

"SynthStation 25 works fine on iOS 5 with the SDK now, as long as you
follow the instructions that come in the included docset. Apple have
changed the way External Accessory protocol connections work slightly
    in iOS5."

Use a different controller? Get an io dock and hook any midi drumpads or keys you want up to the ipad...why must it be the akai one? Cuz you rushed out and bought it? Im curious.
  • edited 12:13AM
I mean the ipad is a touchscreen...and the akai controller isnt the best feeling keyboard out there by far.

Hi, i use my iphone for mobile music making and the synthstation is my favorite controller for this purpose. Its so a good formfaktor
  • edited 12:13AM
I know there are a few micro controllers out there, i just havent been impressed with akai's hardware offerings for ipad/iphone thus far...seems everywhere i go, it is NOT the controller to own.

You are right, hat there more and better controllers out there, but only for ipad.
On the iphone/ipod you can't use the camera connection kit and thats why the synthstation 25 is the only real mobile solution for me and many others.
