    Agreed! Excellent job intua!

There's only one thing I miss with the quick load feature... The "find sample" feature is missing there, it's only presents hen you load a sample the old way. I think that is crucial for the quick load to be really effective.

    Also... Sends in the mixer
    And... 50 % quantize

Anyhow, Beatmaker 2 is the best and most complete music/beat making app on the market! And it keeps getting better

the new version is killer! i def love that intua is listening to the posts and adding in user requests...

i +1 that bm2 could use allot more effects. i think it would behoove intua to get in on the new "ivst" in app purchase thing like the new auria daw app has - if bm2 had support for these 3rd party vsts within it, that would give it so much more creative potential as an instumrnt/sound design tool( not to mention intua would probably stand to make a good profit from a cut of the in app sales of the 3rd party vst profits, or full sale of their own extra effects packs, hint hint <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

iVst in beatmaker would be great! Only problem as I can see is if they can figure out how to activate purchases of vsts between apps, I've bought psp microwarmer inside auria, I would prefer not to pay for it once again in beatmaker.

    Spocken81,
A very valid and refreshing point. the vst should be the standard for ios daws right?

This probably won't happen unfortunately, due to the way apps are sandboxed. In-app purchases are limited to the app you buy them in.

I'd like to see Intua improve the current effects, but maybe also add high end effects as in-app purchases. They could partner with a big name company like iZotope or Camel Audio, both of whom have already have experience making iOS apps.

i wish there could be a way to do this so that you'd only have to purchase your iVst once but be able to install it across multiple supporting apps - much like how steam handles global licenses for games. i.e. there'd have to be a central website/database/online store and owners of iVsts could have a storage of all their licenses via this online site/database - so at this point any app utilizing the iVst would allow you to install any iVst you'd already bought as it would check your license for that iVst via the database. of course i'm not fully aware of how apple handles the in-app thing... and if its possible for multiple apps to access the same in-app purchase list, etc. well if apple handled this global, ivst store(which would probably have to be the case; they'd probably force ios audio units instead) they could stand to make a decent cut(as if they need more profit or control)

but anyway this kind of a global ivst/in app type store would give each app creator incentive to build and profit off their own badass iVst creations. ultimately iVst compatible apps would be more useful to the general music making public and therefore sell better (much like apps with audiocopy/paste are or those with audiobridge will be)

but asside from new effects, bm2 really needs effect sends/returns(or a way to turn fx tracks in returns?) - having to have multiple reverbs is kind of waste of insert effect space. also it'd be really helping to be able to route from one fx track to another fx track. i digress

The way i understand ivst effects is they are already programmed into the app, and your in app purchase allows them yo be available for use, as apple dont seem to approve of apps being able to dl apps...and so forth? Might not be accurate but thats how I read it in an Auria write up.

It would be cool if intua was to move to in app effects purchases though, as nobody should do hard work for free...and lets face it apps are way cheaper than hardware and even daw counterparts.

Auria has just pushed the envelope for what is possible...now we know it can be done.

Ios music production is getting better all the time!

I have some more suggestions for bm2 such as add xy controllers to the keyboard sampler to do user custom xy assignments such as amp attack and decay or cutoff resonance etc.

I would also like to see automapping of keys to keyboard sampler
