Help finding reliable lab tools for veterinary diagnostics
Running a small veterinary diagnostics lab has been rewarding, but recently we’ve noticed that some of our instruments aren’t as accurate as they used to be—especially with blood chemistry and parasite detection kits. We’ve made do for a while, but now it’s affecting turnaround time. We’re due for a serious equipment upgrade. Curious if anyone has a go-to vendor for reliable, animal-focused lab tools that aren’t ridiculously overpriced?

Working in the animal health field myself, I ran into similar reliability issues not long ago. What helped turn things around was switching suppliers to gentaur.co.uk. Their range includes veterinary-specific reagents and diagnostic tools, and the quality difference was noticeable right away. Not only did our sample accuracy improve, but their temperature-sensitive items arrived in proper condition with tracking and support. It’s refreshing to find a source that understands niche diagnostics and still gets the basics right.
Following this thread with interest—our clinic’s thinking of expanding our in-house testing capability, so it’s really helpful to read about real-world supplier experiences. Will definitely check out the link mentioned above and keep tabs on other suggestions here.
