I’m looking for beginner-friendly artists whose songs are fun and simple to cover on ukulele. I’m still working on smooth chord changes, so ideally artists who use common chords like C, G, Am, and F. Any favorites?
Also adding Taylor Swift — especially her early stuff like “You Belong With Me” or “Love Story”. Simple chord progressions, catchy melodies, and easy to sing along with. 💖

When I first started, I stuck to artists like Jason Mraz, Train, and Colbie Caillat because their songs lean on C, G, Am, and F without crazy jumps, and even Taylor Swift's older stuff works well once you get the strumming pattern steady. What helped me most was practicing the same four chords over and over until my fingers moved without thinking, then slowly adding songs that threw in one new chord like Em or D. Riptide by Vance Joy is a classic beginner pick since it only uses Am, G, C, and F, and I also had luck with Somewhere Over the Rainbow and I'm Yours because they repeat the same shapes in different orders.
