Dealing with unexpected plumbing drama in Burlington
Honestly, I’m at my wits' end with this house. We just moved into the Burlington area a few months ago, and while I love the neighborhood, the plumbing in these older homes is starting to feel like a personal vendetta against my wallet. Last night, I went downstairs to grab a snack and literally stepped into a puddle in the laundry room. It looks like the main drain is backing up, or maybe it’s a burst pipe—I’m not even sure anymore because I’m definitely not a handyman. Has anyone else here dealt with a reliable local service that doesn't take three days to show up? I’m terrified of calling a random person and getting hit with a massive bill for a "temporary fix" that breaks again in a week. Any horror stories or, preferably, some solid recommendations for someone who actually knows what they’re doing?

Welcome to the joys of homeownership in Ontario! If it makes you feel any better, my water heater decided to give up the ghost right before a long weekend last year, so I know exactly that "stepping into a puddle" panic. It’s the worst. When we had our major leak, we ended up calling a plumber burlington ontario https://superiorplumbing.ca/burlington/ because they were super professional with us. They actually took the time to explain why the pressure was spiking instead of just patching it and leaving. They’re local, show up on time, and their pricing was transparent, which is a rare find these days. Definitely better than trying to DIY it with a YouTube video and a prayer! Give them a call before your basement turns into a permanent indoor pool!
Thanks a ton for the lead! I'll give them a shout right now and hopefully get this sorted today.
