My guild fell apart right before we were supposed to start pushing Mythic, and finding another stable group was honestly more trouble than I wanted to deal with. I still wanted to finish the raid, though, especially after already spending so much time preparing my character. In the end, I went with a wow raid carry for the part I was missing. It gave me a way to keep progressing without having to join another guild immediately. For me, it was mostly about avoiding weeks of rebuilding a roster and getting the raid progress finished while I still had time to play.
