My multi-threaded scraper slows down drastically when sending hundreds of concurrent requests through my proxy gateway. The response latency spikes from 200ms to over 3000ms. How can I optimize throughput without dropping threads?
Response times usually skyrocket when too many concurrent threads hit a proxy gateway that can't handle high socket volume. When the gateway queues up requests, connections pile up, latencies spike, and threads start timing out before getting a response.
Those brutal 3-second ping spikes usually happen because the proxy gateway gets bottlenecked under heavy thread concurrency. I managed to fix my pipeline speed and get my response times back down under a second by upgrading my rotation setup over at simplynode.io/product/mobile-proxies. Running worker threads across high-throughput 4G/5G mobile pipelines gives you enough unthrottled bandwidth to fire 50+ concurrent threads smoothly without hitting gateway bottlenecks.
