Hey Jason7, cool music, but your link is to a porn site. I opened it up with my kids near by, not thinking someone would post that on the forum. Would be nice if you (or anyone) would give a heads up. Not all of us listening are young and/or have no kids around. My kids enjoy music and like this app too, so needless to say I had to explain why they saw a bunch of bodacious naked babes.. not something I wanted to do at this early in there life. Maybe we should have moderation going on to verify links before they are accepted.
Zshare does have "special" advertisers... but if you hit refresh they usually rotate...(the ads that is...) <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
Hey guys! This is my first and second beatmaker packs, I hope you enjoy!
The first one is the Oberhein DX, a famous drum machine, and the second one in my first ElectroHouse pack. (Yes, I'll make more)
Why would i post my kits so other people can use em"?(steal em'!) I don't get it? Make your own it's easy as hell and they will be original...you know ORIGINAL
CF3: Well, some people like to share things.
And while I do agree that I do enjoy making my own kits, I also think there is quite a bit of satisfaction if you can give back to the community.
And while we are at it:
I have reworked <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ibeatmaker.com">http://www.ibeatmaker.com</a><!-- m -->
and have added an easy upload function so everybody can upload their kits.
There is creater info as well as some info on the kits added as soon as I recieve it.
I will also add all the kits that have been posted here (slowly) and maintaining all the credits and info as good as I can.
Some links are already not working so a central repository as I make it on <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ibeatmaker.com">http://www.ibeatmaker.com</a><!-- m --> is a usefull place.
would you mind if I upload your free kit in the repository at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ibeatmaker.com">www.ibeatmaker.com</a><!-- w --> ?
I am trying to bring all the available free kits together. If not, that's fine too. Let me know. peace.

If you make a good kit, anyone could use it for potentially endless songwriting. I definitely love experimental sounds and creativity in a kit from anyone, I dont necessarily hold it against a band for using a 6 string guitar and drums in their group because its "unoriginal". I know those instruments, those sets of sounds, the pallet is just a tool for creativity. The same can be said with samples, now if someone blatantly rips off someone elses songwriting, thats different.. but using the same samples or instruments, or effects etc. is not really uncommon, nearly all genres of music have those types of similarities. (metal for example, or acoustic guitar)
I love home made instruments that sound good the most, but I love buckethead too who makes ENDLESS sounds on a single guitar. Each beatmaker kit is basically a new instrument/sound pallet/tool of its own, for endless ideas in songwriting limited only by the imagination. You shouldnt need a new "sample" or "original" set of sounds in each pad which you custom created in order to create a good piece of music that is all your own. I condone anyone who does so, but its not necessary for me to think a song is original or creative, thats all in the songwriting.. anyone can make a unique sound (my ass does on occasion hehe) But I know where your coming from...

Sure Ofcourse.. Feel free to link to them, but please add a link to soundtrackloops.com as well. Thanks
How to install a kit:
Use beatpack to transfer the .bmkz file to BM
Load the kit by finding it in your beatpack folder.
The manual covers the process in more detail.
To unpack a bmkz file simple rename the extension to zip and open it. That works fine on windows machine. Don't know about mac, sorry.
Bmk files are not that simple to open. There are ways to extract the wav files but it is by no means quick.
is it possible to take the samples out of one kit and add them to another? basically, is it possible to "unpack" a kit?
I believe the kits are just a zip file with the extension renamed. Rename it to something.zip and then open it and you should see the wav's. You can also just load the kit in beatmaker, change some of the pads and then save as a new kit. You could always even play a whole beat, export as WAV then import that wav into a pad as well.

You can do it inside of Beatmaker too.
1: On the "Pads" screen, select the sample you want to replace.
Click the kit that you want to save. Save it. Then make a folder containing all your kits. Open beatpack. Click the BROWSE button next to the shared directory box. Then select the folder that contains your kits. Now your ready to download the kits to beatmaker. Make sure your wifi is on and theres no problem with your router cause i went through tons of trouble before i can download from beatpack. Hope that helps.
