Was using dropbox to collaborate with an another label artist...ups on dropbox btw!

    Idea...
Song always saves as a named file
    Inside that file
    Sequence file
    Samples used
    Midi file
    Patch files

When i am using dropbox it is a confusing mess of all kinds of files etcwhen trading files, not to mention if somebody does not check the save with samples box...finding all the samples and then the bmk file as well is a chore of scrolling like hell...back and forth...makes me wanna fuggin chuck my ipad off a cliff its such a hinderance. Of course i want my samples to be with my patch...wtf good would the atch be without them? Fuggin derrr

As of now i shake my head in disappointment as this is worse and more of a hellhole file system than an eighties sampler which was more organized

    Hi there,
my humble opinion, having use most of the apps out there, is that beatmaker is already, one of the best, if not the best app available, because is the more flexible and midi capable...
If you want better sounds you can sample them or import them...it does sync with hardware outside and it runs in the background......that only thing I miss is the capability of sync with the sequencer while you are recording, and to be able to record more than one track at the time. Is this feature going to be avalaible one day? Please?
    Regards.

    1) Better mixing/mastering tools (so i don't have to go to another DAW)
    2) Better Synth (more presets)
    3) Better effects
    4) Vocal Track(s)
    5) A send to piano roll option
    6) Muti copy/paste option

Okay I have seen Intua like adding things to a list, like multiple pad lock or whatever...which seems to me to be about as important as ...well its the first time i have heard of it..

Again I want to ask for some things... Maybe some of these can make the list?

    FILE SYSTEM
The little (x) that allows you to not have to backspace every name you give...I can just clear the box and type without backspace deleting first...every app i have has this feature.

More parameters i can edit on the effects, this will make the effects better. Better effects?

If i am not allowed to control where files go so much, it would be nice if everything wasnt forcibly piled down one page so i have to scroll for years to find what i need...and this gets so much more terribly confusing when using dropbox...its lousy, and really should be the first thing you change.

Akai's new mpc fly has drag and drop sample to pad arrangement...i hope you do this as well, because like in the previous statement..i gotta damn scroll for infinity for each and every sample....suck asssssssssssssss terrible a big fat effin f.

    EFFECTS....
If auria can run 48 tracks simultanious with effin plug in vst ios effects including multiband compression and convolution reverb....then your effects and you can quote me..." are kiddish toyish embarrasments ".

    AUDIO TRACKS
I think everyone here would take eight of em?

    GUI
Ummm can we get a better keyboard model...once again Animoog just has this down completely...look at all the tunings...and i can select only keys i want...with the side to side on each key being a vibrato or programmable...as well as the up and down being volume or programmable...

Can we bring the xy to the keyboard screen please...? Might be useful to have it there...ya think?

Same with pads....higher pad hits. Higher value....etc?

How hard can it be to let the user pic a gui colorscheme?

    KEYBOARD SAMPLER
Better filter? Yours is kinda weak...and thin more so than it should be....
Can we get layers and utilize the aove mentioned gui improvement...i mean it is a programmable interface...why am i always playing keyboards that are static? Moog and Samplewiz are two apps that I feel have brought some solid ideas to the table.

    RESAMPLE TO PAD (oh yeaaaaaaaaaaa)

XY PAD can we get four parameters , that would rule...the thing could do some wavestation type ish if so...<!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

If you guys were to say get 70 or so waveforms (sine, square, etc) and use them in the osc of your keysampler....you could use these to figure out how to expand the sampler into a synth...its not far off <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

    SEQUENCER
a button we could hold and just slide sequencer chunks around.
    User color pick? <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->
And lets not allow chunks to get behind chunks please...as its impossible to fix this without undoing.

U do these things...i can work around everything else

PS. Ignoring my requests or not answering them, and then being all excited about multiple pad locking or whatever...doesnt make you look superior, quite opposite in practice actually.

To the persn who wanted that feature...you got eight fingers and two thumbs...its quite possible to do that very thing without a dumb ass feature. Not that I am opposed to your request, i am not, I just believe that this request is similar to other shallow things that arent allowing us to get real features like a working file system, some decent effects, some audio recording, some better tunings and a real user chooseable playing surface...locking three pads together is way way back in importance to me...in fact i would five star the app with or without that feature if the other things were there.

Some of this stuff is being put off, and its irritating!

    a) track solo is a must please!

    b) Pause song play in the sequencer, Choplab...etc
So it doesn't start at the begin every time you stop play.
  • Hi MicGee$,

Don't worry, we're not ignoring your requests, we follow with great interest this thread.
The "big" features you were discussing are already in our (huge) todo list, or even better, in development. We are currently focusing on the audio side and some neat improvements.

Next scheduled update (2.3) will bring more 'automatizable' parameters and audio tracks, among other. Then we'll focus on audio effects, we are thinking about adding a multi-band EQ, and better filters.

    Stay tuned !
    Mathieu.
  • Hi everyone,

I've just merged the two "feature request" threads into one topic.
Please continue the discussion here !

    Thanks,
    Mathieu.

    Effect ideas:
A multimode filter with 32 step arp
    Having lp,bp,hp,comb,notch
    Resonance (12,24,48)

Even though i can do this without one, a slicer
    Basically a rhythmic mute/gate

    A tape based echoplex delay
    Multitaps, ms and bpm sync
    With a filter built in
    Lft and rgt taps etc

A real conv. Reverb maybe only available on a master channel

A ten band eq with shelves and bells
    Similar to the channel eq in logic...no sliders and knobs just touch and draw <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

    A compressor with sidechain <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

    A limiter with brick wall

Some amp, cabinet, mic modelling stuff...especially useful when having audio tracks

A ringmodulator (logic has the best ive seen)

A box modelling effect that models the outputs of popular boxes
(mpc60, sp1200, nintendo, asrx, eps, etc etc)

    A phaser

    An autowah...with bpm stuff

Hopefully you are bringing us resample to pad!! That has great sound design and cpu freeing possibilities...<!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->)))))

    Thanks for the reply, Mathieu!

Man anyone has his own needs ! No need to argue.
  • edited 2:10PM
    YES! multi-band EQ.

basically...If yall can make it so i don't have to go to another DAW....Game over

    Glad the threads were merged!

-Would love to see the slots in Studio View be able to be named...I use a lot of different MIDI tracks and it's hard to differentiate which is what MIDI device when all I see is a picture of either a keyboard or drum pads. I think the naming system in Studio View currently only allows naming based on what preset/kit is loaded into that instrument. More often then not I have nothing loaded and only have the MIDI configured! I still want to name it though, as going between Studio View and the Sequencer is confusing (I can name tracks in the Sequencer...)

Ok, so I've been kind of missing in this forum lately... I've got too much work flooding my time and haven't even had a chance to make some music these past few weeks....

I've got a huge request... I really don't have a clue if it's something Intua can afford to licence but it's possibly one of the best mixing and finishing tools I've seen around... The Sonic Maximizer from BBE.... I would like to see it as an insert fx... It absolutely rocks... It's not an eq, but betters and allows to be used as an eq in many ways... It's a harmonic reconstruction algorithm... Really awesome stuff.

By the way, they have an iphone app called sonicMaxPro... Go get it, really... It plays your music but restores clarity a whole lot... Increases dynamic range and restores harmonics and really pulls your mp3's, aac's and other lossy formats closer to that very desirable audiophile sonic experience that your music needs needs needs. When you try it out you'll be surprised with the processing... Set it, then bypass, then turn on again... you'll see what I mean.

Intua: the Sonic Maximizer Algorithm is licenceable, it's has 45 US patents... Please take a look at it, it would be the best sound improvement to your engine ever:

    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.bbesound.com/licensing/index">http://www.bbesound.com/licensing/index</a><!-- m -->.

    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.bbesound.com/technologies/m3-mobile-audio.htm">http://www.bbesound.com/technologies/m3 ... -audio.htm</a><!-- m -->

I've been also using their plugins in my daw work, really amazing.

I've been listening to a lot of 24bit/96000khz music lately... Kind of becoming an audiophile myself... SACD, HiRes Studio Masters, HiRes Vinyl Rips... Really amazing... This tool makes regular 44k/16bit sound close.

A workaround to my previous gripe/suggestion is to save a blank kit/instrument and you can name it whatever: you'll be able to now see/have a name for your "MIDI" tracks in Studio View.

    But...

Continuing on this idea, BM2 needs proper (external-themed) MIDI tracks. Studio View is really utilized just for sampler/rompler based internal interaction. There should be a proper Fourth Option in Studio View track creation: MIDI track(instrument). Right now there are three: DRUM MACHINE, KEYBOARD SAMPLER, AND FX BUS. I am using the workaround by saving blank kits. However, the MIDI routing feels a bit awkward. For one, I can't save my MIDI configurations: MIDI port specifications. This info is not saved with the configuration! Only the CC #s and routing is saved, not the MIDI channel in/out! (As well as any new track defaults to output on MIDI ch.1 !)
Backtracking...Studio View could be improved by displaying the MIDI input/output channels for each instrument. I use blank instruments for controlling external MIDI devices and it's hard to tell which is which without a convenient MIDI output/input display.

    So...my feature requests for midization:

    1) Implement proper MIDI tracks in Studio View, -or- allow MIDI channel in/out to be saved per configuration preset so I can load my own pseudo-MIDI tracks/templates/configurations
    2) Change the MIDI channel output default channel to NONE for new tracks
    3) Display MIDI channels in Studio View

Beat repeat mode like "autobeat" function in nanostudio

Audio tracks, some vocal effects e.g. doubler and harmoniser, a cut scissor option in the sequencer and some choice of skins would be great, thanks. Also, maybe different knob behaviour - knob follows finger in a rotary fashion.
  • Beat repeat mode like "autobeat" function in nanostudio

    Hi nikolafeve,

It's actually there! Check the "Rec." panel in the transport bar, where you can switch the repeat mode, with swing and quantization.

    Mathieu.
  • edited 2:10PM
"Previous sample" and "next sample" buttons
Exclusive play when browsing sample (no overlap)
    Volume for preview
    And...Autoplay and autopreview, pleaaaaaase!!!

In the sequencing section I'd like to be able to NOT quantize the notes - (ie to be able to place them anywhere, as you would on Cubase, etc). This for me is essential, as sometimes I want to create a more human sounding performance, with nuances in the timing (which are sometimes lost in quantization).

    100% agree !

    Hi Zarg,

You can edit the start/end bounds on each pad in the drum machine.
Enter the sample menu (second item), and press "EDIT BOUNDS".

    Cheers !

Some way of showing when you hit the drum pads - I know the pads light up - I want some pulse of light or something for when pads are hit repeatedly then I would be getting better visual feedback. That would be great.

    Thanks for your support Mathieu <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

When we'd check the box to include samples when you save as at the first time, continue to copy new samples in the folder of the project even when we just make a save.

Include some cool features from the nanostudio's sequencer like:
Zoom menu (mini, all, selection, loop)
Zoom buttons +/- horizontal, vertical, at the corners of the arrange view
Select menu (add to, to start, to end, track, inverse, all)

Accelerate the zoom movement when pinching (currently really too slow)

In the browser, delete the "edit files" button and include in the browser the "delete" "rename" and "new folder" buttons in direct access

A (automatable) lfo for each drumpad could be really really cool !!!

    Snap off option

Possibility to switch from Absolute to relative grid!!!

Autoplay and specially autopreview when browsing samples

More destinations for the lfo of the sampler (like enveloppes parameters...)

Automation enabled for the picth of the drumpad in live mode (probably with a new rotary like a pitch bend). Currently it's just only in edit windows of the parameter "note tunes" in the sequencer... Too bad <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->

    Solo button for live mode

Direct access to resolution (quantize) in "note repeat" mode when recording

We really appreciate updated fxs i think...specially chorus, comp, reverb and eq

Better render fades in edit mode

    Fully Programable arpegiattor

Chords generator with some trigger pads in the sampler

Audio tracks with time stretch and pitch shift for each items

    Include beatmaker in all solded ios devices <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> lol

Congratulations for your work and your support with users

PS: i work only with the ipad version... And LOVE it
