iZotope releasing iDrum iPhone edition
Well, looks like "big boys" are jumping on iPhone app bandwagon... <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/idrum/iphone/">http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/idrum/iphone/</a><!-- m -->

Because if so: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://edge5.dealsdirect.net/images/products/4267/1/product1_4267.jpg">http://edge5.dealsdirect.net/images/pro ... 1_4267.jpg</a><!-- m -->
no delay
BTW; at this stage I'm buying them all, well the worthy ones (BeatMaker, IR-909 and both iDrums) they're cheap as chips so who cares if I loose interest, but the question remains - why there is not a single synth/drum combo app available yet..?!
(thanks for hijacking my post on "bluelounge" <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) --> )
Edit; Just visited apps store and bought this:

Haven't tried it yet since my iPhone 3G was sent away today for replacement due to infamous "cracks"... <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt="" title="Crying or Very Sad" /><!-- s -->
Edit 2; Hey Tarekith... Your music is absolutely brilliant... Anyone on this board should check this out:

Do Yourself a favor and download it NOW... (while It lasts)
Idrum is a pretty sweet app, I like the interface and how you can shake the phone to clear patterns.
Anyways, the point i am trying to make is BeatMaker has limitations, sure. But limitations breed creativity.
Welcome limitations as without limitations we would have no need for work arounds and new ways to think of creating, and that just makes for dull creations. You can get great synth lines out of BeatMaker. "Every Tool Is A Weapon If You Hold It Right"
something else: we are actually working on adding many features that have been discussed on this forum.
Stay tuned !
The Intua Team
Thanks for the update!
Uhhh... developers actually listening to the users... such a rarity! esp on the Apple platform.. <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s -->
nevertheless, keep up the good work guys <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
All in all Beat Maker is fantastic as it is a real instrument for musicians. I have a project I need to get done while on the road and have the kits almost done. It is great.
This is sad that mixtiki is no longer in development for the phone.

Beatmaker is a mini-DAW for offline use. I personally can't use it live in a very useful way for various reasons, but some of the features like individual groove are really great for constructing music by building and layering. I hope that intua takes that aspect of the program to the limit (for all sorts of automation) because it is easy to use and gives very interesting results quickly. I'd like to see the same interface for stereo pan, filter automation, trance gate, etc.
iDrum excels at live use and improvisation - the interface design is really fantastic for it. I use Cakewalk Project5 (on Windows) which has a feature called Groove Matrix that is meant for live performance and improvised song construction. iDrum takes this impromptu construction concept even further with its layered "squares," and it has been thought out ground up around the iPhone format, including breaking out of the traditional left-to-right view of time.
Beatmaker is certainly more "serious" in the sense that you can import and export samples, wavs, midi, and kits. In that respect iDrum really is a $5 program and you shouldn't expect it to be more.
All this within a month of the app store opening is pretty cool. I really like to see apps using the features and format of the phone in creative ways. How long until we're modulating filters by shaking and tipping?
Finally I can lay down some ideas on iPhone during my lunch break and master them in studio using Cubase or Live after work <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
That's what I call useful iPhone app...
iDrum desktop cost like $79, which I personally think is a rip-off. With $20 you get BeatMaker and the free BeatPack.
Just my 2 cents ... <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
