DROP OUTS?

edited October 2012 in Support
Is there and way or trick to drop out the sound of a whole song for a beat or two, ....then back in on beat.

Basically a hip hop drop out?

Automate the master track's volume so that it immediately drops out where you want it to.

It think it got it, but what if you want drop out all the music tracks but just keep the vocal track?

Like drop out one bar on the punchline of a verse?

You'd have to automate a volume drop for every track except the vocal track.

This sort of thing gets easier if you render out your instrumental tracksand vocal track to WAVS and then load them into a multitrack recorder where you just need to cut the volume on a single track containing your instrumental, while the separate vocal track continues to play.

The easiest way (within bm2) would be to simply trim up your sequences where you want the break. For any long samples that may continue to play, just switch them to "hold" and trim the notes accordingly.
    Make sense?
