BeatMaker1 vs BeatMaker2
Hey now,
I need advice on whether to buy BeatMaker1 or BeatMaker2
I am percussionist in a band and would like to have simple (but quality) sampler/sequencer for use live. I am not sure if buying Beatmaker1 is gonna get me a simpler but functional setup or should I just get BeatMaker2? Seems like 2 is awesome but I doubt I would ever use 1/2 the stuff. Basically I want to be able to record my own samples and maybe use some that it comes with, and play them live with the rest of the band in full groove. I have played with a couple cheaper apps and found a lag between button strike and actual sound that was not acceptable. I assume from what I've read so far that this should not be an issue in BeatMaker. Is that true for both 1 and 2? $$ is not the issue, simplicity on stage is. Thanks in advance for any advice you guys might have.

I'm going to recommend loopyhd. Super simple and later on you will be able to use it with BM2 via audiobus if you choose to get more in depth.
I did go with BM2 and am blown away by everything it can do. Seems like it will work for me. A little learning curve never hurt anyone! <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->
I am finding an issue with the volume of samples changing on their own, maybe I should make a new post for this issue. It acted different from plugging my iPod touch into computer speakers at home when I plugged it into the mixer on stage. First time sample played normal, re triggering sample played at about 2/3 volume.
