49, need a page/chart that shows you all the plugins, and where they are being used within the current project.
50, Choice for knob movement Linear or Rotary.
51, A scrolling indicator on the step modular to show what is playing.
Just something small, like on the knobs.
52, modulation page could go full screen like the edit page. So we can see more steps in the step mod, without them shrinking too much, and getting fiddly.
53, Put a track on solo in the sequencer, quit BM3 re-opened and solo was off. It did the same when I soloed it via the Mixer.
54, Changing the loop point within the Pattern screen doesn't seem to do anything?.
55, The main issue with customers/BM3 loosing/misplacing files is this:
When we save a new or save as, we don't get an option of 'where' (location) to save. Everything is just automatically saved to 'sessions'.
I like to organise my stuff, so I may create a folder called '2017' in this folder I would have sub folders, possibly by genre, Dance, Ballads, dnb etc.. At the moment if I move the session into one of those folders, the wavs/files don't follow, even if I save session and samples.
Also If I have 10 sessions that use the same drum kit - and have use the 'Save Session & Samples' then that's 10 duplications of that kit on my Pad.
Once I've put my session where I want, 10 times out of 10, it stays there.
In BM2, we were given the choice of where to save, before actually saving.
Please bring this back.
At the moment I'm still just going through the app with my scientific mind ;-) need to make sure all is safe and not have to deal with issues when I'm deep into producing.
Nip it in the bud, so to speak.
Tip of the day.. Know your tools before starting your work!
56, Rcorded a vocal. Went into edit and pitched it up 3 semitones. Saved it different name etc, so it was a separate file.. (it does not show new name, by the way)
Imported new file to a new audio track. Started the sequencer and the second (+3) file plays a fraction of a second before the original. (Did not change any tempo/bum settings)
The two files start at the same place quantise/timeline wise. And are the same length (same file really) but I am able to see the drift on the Audio displays.
If pictures are needed I can post.
King
Edit: I put the quantize to Free and move the +3 file over 1 measure and it sounds in time. (Free is not quite Free though, should be Sample measures)
Pic below is zoomed in to the fullest:
57, since today the zooming on the sequencer page became all wonky. At the moment sometimes it wont zoom or scroll with fingers. It freezes, or does odd things.
Clicked on Mixer and that came up so App not fully crashed/frozen. Restarted a few times but issue still there.
58, Could we possibly get a on-off/bypass button for the AUv3 Fx in the keyboard screen?
Maybe share it with the 'Show AU Knobs' button.. or, wherever..
Also, if you hide the keyboard to enlarge the plugin, then X out of that screen and come back, the keyboard is back to normal size. And you have to shrink it again. For newly added plugins it's good, but if your working with the same plugin for a little while it can become a tiny bit frustrating. (Maybe a little padlock or something)
I guess I wouldn't be go to n fro so much with a bypass.
You guys should be very proud of this app, truss mi.
60, Thought I was undoing the knob movements on the AutoPan fx, but it was undoing some stuff I did previously in the piano roll.
Seems the fx (and possibly other stuff) is not currently undo-able.
not sure if mentioned but the file browser could be improved, maybe a home option to get to roof or even some assignable shortcuts to various folders like banks, sessions, samples etc. Similar to how Renoise and tracktor allow setting shortcuts to save time going in and out of folders. I have deeply nested folders for my banks. Also there seems to be a refresh issue with the folders.
When saving banks I'd like to be able to specify the folder it saves in if possible. Otherwise whenever I change something it involves deleting the old one and moving the new one into the folder.
A trash folder where deleted files can be recovered would be appreciated.
There's a bug with the category tagging also, specifically the subcategory filter.
Agreed with the above, was also thinking a double tap on the centre folder icon (right of the magnifying glass) could bring us to the root/front page.
I keep double tapping it expecting to be brought there lol
61, Recorded some live acoustic audio via microphone, used MVerb on the track (not Aux 1 or 2) the reverb was recorded onto the track/Wav file. Should be totally dry. Hmm..
I think I saw someone say something similar, but I'm writing it here also.
62, Normalising a sample whilst session was playing, semi-crashed BM3.
Semi-crash = no sound but was still able to navigate around the app, browser etc.
Play button lights up when pressed but no play etc etc..
Restart was needed.

.
Added: some work was lost, Previous arrangement, and a previously normalised file, which had to be reload. All this even though I had saved the session.
I save my sessions regular, especially after a big edit, or before a big edit. BM3 is not saving correctly or not providing the correct saved file for loading.

I'm a bit curious about this one. Was the sample 'triggered' by the sequence/pattern when you normalised it?
(I could try to 're-create' the crash so we all have more to go on).
During beta I had some strange issues when doing stereo->mono while things were playing as well as doing undo during playback.
Other curiosities that could potentially 'mute' the sound-edngine during beta was to mess with the loop crossfade parameter while things were playing.

Yeah, it was triggering every 2 bars @ 90bpm. Also there were only 2tracks in the project. 1 long audio file (which had already started playing) and the shorter 2bars one.
Didn't try to recreate, just trying to create (at that time)
I just had an issue where I was chopping up a sample for a bank but I had moved the sample into a subfolder. Now the bank can not reference where I moved the sample. Is there anyway for BM3 to detect where the new sample is so I don't have to rechop everything again?

Nah, not at the moment.
Beatmaker 3 doesn't yet have an Auto relocate missing file (Yet).
Best thing to do in this case is to move the files back to where they were, reload the bank, then save bank AND samples.
Thanks. So basically, put it where you want it from the start. I actually organized all my samples from Maschine expansion packs into BM3 last night. This sample was from a show on Netflix I had recorded. I decided to resave it somewhere else. It will only take 10 minutes to redo but just wanted to check in.

Yeah, we need the Locate Missing Files feature, AND Save to a specific Location (sessions, banks, files) And copy and paste files, within the browser etc..
I Began transferring my imaschine 2 kits last week, but I haven't got that kinda time.
First having to export each kit separately to Audioshare (AS easier to organise than BM at the moment)
Then open in BM3, (up until there its time consuming, but i could deal with it).
Then (here's the no-no part) having to create banks for the kits. dragging and dropping each and every individual file to a pad one by one haha .. for me this also means getting the same mapping/layout as iM2 (Kick pad 1, Snare pad 2 etc)
Then setting all the gains to 0dB, and then.. well, that's just too long...
If anyone has a quicker better solution I'm all ears. No access to iM2 through iFunbox.

No quicker way that I could think of. I finally finished recreating all the kits from the iMaschine 2 packs a few days ago; probably took me around three weeks of doing a few here and there as I found time. I'm glad it's done, but no way I'd want to do all that again!
Now i'm just trying to figure out how to add custom icons for all those packs to match the iMaschine icons. I know the format, and there is a field in the database for it, but haven't figured out the path structure yet...

I'm assuming you now have a mass of duplicated samples when You Search within the samples section? Since you have saved each iMaschine bank with its samples?
No, no duplicates. I saved all the samples for all the iMaschine kits in a master 'Maschine' folder, separate from the 'Samples' folder. I compiled all this on my laptop and just copied the entire Maschine folder across using iFunbox, and then scanned the database in BM3. Then, when creating the kits, I left the 'copy samples' box unchecked when saving.

Have you been mapping the instruments to the same pads, as they are in Maschine?
If yes, then, well done!
I see the pic above-above 'Grey Forge' looks like you've mapped them ... Loooooooong...
Even if I was able to see the instruments names on the pads in iMaschine 2 it would be a great time saver.
I'm guessing that someone eventually will create BM3 banks of all iM2 kits and Instruments (including all of the IAPs)

Yes, all samples mapped to the same pads as in the original iMaschine kits, but I didn't match all the parameters like panning, relative volume, etc. I did match tuning of samples, but had to do this by ear as there is no numerical indicator of tuning offset in iMaschine.
@KING lol that's pretty impressive. I should consider doing this in the future; I have all of the iMaschine 2 expansion packs. It would be great to have them all in BM3 because I do not see myself using iMaschine 2 asides from the samples.

59, A lot of the time, the first midi note is not recorded.

My comments on this thread have slowed right down - That is a good thing!
There's been a couple minor things, but haven't tried to reproduce any yet. Been producing!
I still have not fully explored every part/detail (how I use it anyway) of BM3 yet, so..
But I'm telling you, this is the Biz-Niz! I'm falling in Love with it, for realz.
