Trigger random slice
Would be great if you could have a sample with a bunch of different sounds sliced up and have a random slice triggered each time you hit the pad. Even better if you could also set probability of each slice.

You can make this happen if you have the miditools plugin. First slice your long sample, save to single layer, go to Mappings and set all samples to be mapped to the same note, but with different velocity ranges. The larger you make the range for a slice, the more probable it is to be played. Then use the midifx Midi Curves and set randomness to 100 %.
Excellent tip @bleep - I was about to write exactly the same advice
Brilliant, thanks! I was poking around the mapping screen thinking 'there must be something here!'.
Interesting!
