With Verizon's release of the iPhone killing "Droid" and the fact that the OS now supports apps that have been developed with C++; are we going to be seeing BeatMaker in the Android Market anytime soon?? (or at the very least an effects/drum pad)

Iphone killer Maybe in about 2 years when the OS catches up.. of course, there will be no patented multi-touch still.

Ask any 'roid dev... the OS just cannot support high end audio applications as of yet. There's not even a quality line-in recording app. (besides the fact that the hardware doesn't support stereo line-in whatsoever..)

There is a PRETTY GOOD BPM counter app... but that's it, the rest of the music apps on 'roid are exerimental at best, a laughing stock at worst. An app like beatmaker would crush a 'roid phone because of the inability to store protected apps on an SD card (without hacking, that is.. and then there goes all that fun jailbrake criticism)

I own an HTC Hero on sprint (and two iphones and a touch) and can definitivly say they have a lot of work to do on this platform.
