They're saying here that all apps will be able to run.

Now, Intua, please make this possible because you'll be the winner here.
I'm really excited about iPad, all those beatmaker pads now big...wow.

Hi zack,
Yep I'm aware that they offer upscaling but, trust me, it won't look the best. Pixel doubling is a stop gap. There will be holes and weird "jaggys" (technical term ) aplenty. "Most" apps will be supported, the keyword here is "most". Beatmaker needs to get into the emulator and show us what it looks like upscaled.

Here is a PRIME opportunity to beef up the app and have it run super sharp natively. Add 32 Pads instead of 16. There will be more memory available I'm sure.
Beatmaker can be "reborn" as the daddy of them all if they play their cards right! If it were me I would have had a beatmaker demo up at the keynote instead of the brushes app showing content "creation".
However, the only thing that was not mentioned in keynote or in any blog I've read thus far, was any type of synergy with the iPhone. A big miss I fear! Like Amazon have done with whispersync and the kindle iPhone app could, and should, apply to the iPad, you begin a project on one and wirelessly its updated on the other and so on. Start your tune creation on the train or on a plane on your iPhone and when you get back to your erm.. pad.. fire up the iPad and continue in glorious high res seamlessly on the iPad.
It seems logical to enhance the iPhone user market. Most initial iPad buyers will be existing iPhone owners looking for more. They need to share some sort of symbiotic relationship to make the iPad valid as a consumer device. It will come in time I hope.
Anyway, while its disappointing overall from a technological perspective, its going to be SUPER for music creation. The big boys just might decide to code for the iPad/iPhone OS now with more screen real estate and speed to play with.
Beatmaker needs to get in their first and show them who's the boss!
Rant/Ramble over. Sorry.
