ZSnake - 8 Bit (Electronic-Experimental Sound) #22

edited September 2010 in BeatMakers Showcase
This one hear was to test myself on a certain Kit i got on IbeatMaker called 8 Bit Kit. There where several Kits with Basses to Blips, Drums, FX's and Leads. I just decided to make a beat with these sounds that sound so awkward and unique and the same time. The sounds are obviously from old school games, probably from the 80's. It was hard for me at first since the sounds where kinda off, i had to make them compliment each other. Instead of putting a kick and a snare, i added 2 kicks, one with a normal type note and the other with a high note. Then came the bass, it might be hard to identify but it's there. The build is from the start, it's pretty loud when you hear it and it's added only for the intro. There's a dark Synth i added as well to vibe with the backround but i didn't add that everywhere. Then after that i added alot of different FX's and Blips. I pretty much added half of everything that the 8 Bit Kit's had to offer. I wanted to keep it original so i kept it the way it should be, cause if i wanted it to be different , i would of added real kicks snare's hi hats ect and would of just worked with the 8 Bit FX's and Blips. There's no Chorus in this beat, It's just a 16 Bar Loop with added modifications on most of them. The beat is old but i liked it cause it was original to me and i doubt anyone made this type of beat yet on BM but then again I'm probably mistaken. The quality is Good from the Earphones but i don't really know about the Speakers since my Left speaker from my laptop is messed up, So this is Heavily Earphones Recommended. Also Made on Beat Maker. Can't wait for BM2!!!!!!!!

It's so nice to see people experiment. I can see where you would take bits and pieces of that kit and put it into other tracks. Cool Ideas on that one, Z. Now where did I put my Super Nintendo controller......?

Def an experimental track. But its original and a fresh 8 bit take Z. Has an eerie feeling too, belongs in Metroid haha.
    Not bad bro.
