Marking in and out in sample lab

edited February 2011 in Support
ok.. so i'm obviously coming from bm1 and when i would select a pad and click "sample" and "edit waveform" i could select the in and out to be triggered.

this seems a bit different in bm2. i select the pad (sample), select "sample", "edit" and highlight what i want my in and out to be in sample lab, and click "set suspend loop", x it off and it asks if i want to save the file. i've tried it both ways and it doesn't work (saving the file and not). it plays the whole raw sample without referencing my in and outs..

also, i've tried all of the different trigger modes (hold, hold+loop and one shot). do i have to "trim" the sample and save it as a new one in order to do this? i really enjoyed how in bm1 you could edit a long sample and just select the portion of the sample you wanted to trigger.. it's a more nondestructive method than saving as and possibly overwriting your original sample.

anyone?

  • You have to save the New sample.
Intua might bring Non Destructive Waveform editing back!!!
    Let's keep asking for it!!!

    That would be fantastic.

So just to be clear, you have to "trim" the sample and "save as"?

I believe Intua has already said non-destructive editing will be back in a coming update.
