Sample Loading via iOS Pasteboard

edited September 2011 in General
Am I mistaken, or does Beatmaker 2 really require 13 steps to import a sample from other iOS apps via the pasteboard?

For Example

1. Home
2. Wireless Devices Icon
3. Pasteboard
4. IMPORT iOS to BM2
5. Save
6. ENTER FILE NAME
7. Return
8. X Icon
9. Instrument DRM31
10. Select Pad
11. Load
12. Select File Name
13. Load

Oddly, even NanoStudio requires 9 steps to paste a sample.

Isn't the whole point of iOS to make tasks like this easier? This unINTUAtive menu design is severely affecting the workflow. Would it be possible to simplify pasting in a future update?

Thanks for listening to your customers <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Holy crap. I could not agree more.

On the track name in the beatmaker icon tab please give an option to hold down on the track title and either copy or paste directly into the tracks. (what is this tab called?) this would be awesome!!! And please allow a single tap to mute unmute the track and a double tap to bring up the track renaming options.

Please reply to me intua. I would love to know this is coming in the future!

Also...... Could you add accelerometer control for quantize in the record settings. With this "on the fly" ability to speed up and slow down the quantizing with note repeat on it makes dub step and complex beat creation a HUGE amount easier.

Thanks intua. Beatmaker is the best!

Also could you add scales and thumbjam like controls for the keyboard sampler? Pretty please!!!!

I would luv it if yall could just make a preview option when importing from the ipod library. Even if its just for a few secs like how u preview a song in itunes thats fine.

    Thank you!

I think it could be accomplished by adding a button called "Pasteboard". You'd select a pad, then tap pasteboard. This would take you immediately to the available pasteboard samples with an option to preview. Once you select a sample, then tap "Paste" to bring it into the pad. Also, utilize the existing sample name to improve efficiency, and allow the user to rename it later if they so choose.
