Beatmaker desktop edition

Hello,

Not sure if this has been discussed ad of yet, but in the case that it hasn't.....

I have some ideas for a desktop version of Beatmaker.

The app has more than enough bells and whistles to be a standalone workstation, so the desktop version should be more of a support tool than an actual secondary music production tool.

With that said, only users of Beatmaker should be able to utilize it.

Some of the features (I think) it should have:

Beatpack - should be part of the program, with the ability to create presets (more than one bank at a time)
Built in FTP server - user friendly interface that works directly with BM2
Drag & Drop capabilities to DAW - Or option to export project (individual tracks)

That's my wish list, anybody want to add anything else??

    Hostly, No need for a desktop version. Ipads the future.

    It would take years for BM2 to catch up with even a $60 PC/Mac DAW like Reaper.... better Intua stick with perfecting what they have. It's the desktop ones that are racing to get to tablets, because at least some of them see the future, and want to be there.

    After much thought ...the daw is almost dead... This is a loss market for intua and therefore not a good idea. I withdraw from this position.

    The Daw is not dead... come on... have you ever used Pro Tools, Live or Logic in a recent version?... it is still many many years ahead of what's possible on an idevice right now...

    I don't think intua could do much as a desktop daw, compared to big established players on that area... but $Gee really made me lol this time, you kill me man!... can you imagine a top producer, mixer or master engineer throwing away their hundred thou equipment (mostly Daw based) for just an ipad... that is many many years away... we still need lots of cpu and additional dsp horsepower to render analog accurate signal response... Can't really compare a dual core 1gz chip with an 8 core mac pro monster most studios now use... I saw on another post you plan on selling your DAW, don't... you still need it to mix your tracks my friend... that is the most important part of a track in my opinion... it makes or breaks the track.

    I think the point is that ios is the future, we might not be there yet or any time some but it is headed in that direction.

    Guys if you've tried Geist/ guru or maschine youll know it can compliment any the daw you have not replace it <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
