I made some beats now I want to add vocals. How?

Do I need to get another app to add vocals to my beat? If so, what's the best one?

Only way as of now is to record vocals to a pad and trigger them.

Simple answer is yes. Problem with iPad is you are going to run out of disk space quick and getting audio in. Easier to do it on a PC/Mac. Plenty of good freeware Audacity and there is Reaper of course.

Thanks guys. How about Garage Band?

I guess that would bring up the same issue of space on the Ipad.

What's the best free sound editing program to start out with, mainly for adding vocals?

Yeah but a maxed out iPad has 512 meg internal and a max 64 gig of HD space. A very average sub $1000 computer will at least 2gig memory and 500 gig HD. 1 terra HD are less than $100.
When it comes to actual audio recording not sequencing the iPad loses big time. I would love to use my iPad all the time but sampling vocals onto pads is not really the most efficient workflow, sure it works but how do you comp or edit takes, cross fade , copy and paste, remove noise, de ess , compress, fade in/ out sample rate convert properly on BM to name just a few things you could do in 5 mins on Audacity ( freeware for Mac)

Audacity for mac ( freeware )
    GarageBand free with mac
Reaper Mac/PC fully fledged DAW very cheap, don't let the price fool you, you can download a free evaluation copy I think.
