Using third party app as 'VST' in beatmaker?

edited December 2011 in Support
Hello

I’m a complete novice with BM2 and I’ve only picked it up a handful of  times, so please excuse my ignorance.

I have the Sunrizer synth application on my iPhone. Am I right in thinking that I can somehow wire this into BM2 and use BM2 to control the Sunrizer app in a  project, a bit like a VST instrument in Ableton / Cubase etc. Or is the only way to use the sounds via the copy and paste audio feature?

If this is possible can someone give me an idiots guide on how to do this?

Many thanks in advance.

Rob

    Hi,

Yes, you can do so using using virutal MIDI ports. To do so, enable Audio Background in Sunrizer and check the MIDI input channel there. Within BeatMaker, enable in the Settings "MIDI Out", then create a keyboard instrument. Press its MIDI button within the Studio view, and make sure its MIDI Output channel is the same as the one used in Sunrizer.

For more information about MIDI configuration, please check the User Manual which you can download at:

Great, many thanks for the advice.

Second question .... What if I want to use several Beatmaker keyboards using different sounds from the Sunrizer synth?

    Thanks,
