I'm a new user and want to transfer a couple files to my iPh

edited March 2012 in Support
I had a friend send me two beats he and i made on an iPad. He sent them to my email on my laptop computer. I went to my email and downloaded the content. The files are saved as .bm2 files, and therefore i dont know how to open them because they arent like an Mp3 or wav file. I cannot open them in window media player ( i have a sony vaio laptop ) or even transfer them to my iTunes account. I have BeatMaker2 on my iPhone and want to somehow get these files on there so i can edit the two songs. If anyone has any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

    Hello Rcrown,

The BeatMaker 2 file format doesn't contain any audio, it's used to save presets and projets, and therefore are not readable with a media player. You need to export your project as an audio file first.

To do so, load your project in BeatMaker 2, go to the Sequencer screen, and on the bottom toolbar you'll see an "EXPORT" button. Hit it, select "TO AUDIO FILE", configure the export (default values should be OK), and hit "EXPORT". The browser will open up, hit "SAVE" and enter a filename.

Then transfer the audio file using File Transfer (FTP), SoundCloud, DropBox, etc.
Check the manual for more information about exporting and exchanging files: http://www.intua.net/media/intua/downlo ... Manual.pdf

    Hope this helps,
    Mathieu
