Retina Resolution for Ipad 3

edited April 2012 in General
Hi,

Will Intua support the high resolution screen from Apple for the Ipad 3 anytime soon? Thanks!

Just want to know before I buy it. Thanks!

Very Handsome Fella...

anyone else get a tingling sensation after reading this? dope! are you guys gonna address some of the performance issues on iPad 3 as well? been getting some buffering or caching issues it seems. feels like BM2 gets a little desynched at times. peace!

I dont understand the gravitation toward the ipad3, it was a very underwhelming update
Oooh a 5 megapixel camera on a device thats very clumsy used as a camera...
Retina screen...once again making hardware dock incompatible...yippee, i dont watch many movies on it so i have no need for way better graphics...i guess.
Oh a new clock speed on the same chip for graphics....

Same shitty 256mb bottleneck in the ram, still no user file system...and fairly hot running temp at 117degrees

MicGee$ you seem to have no idea what you are talking about. Besides from the physical appearance almost everthing that matters was changed. The resolution and color saturation is the biggest change and it is AMAZING. It just changes the entire experience with the iPad since the iPad is essentially a screen with some hardware. Everthing looks so sharp and detailed. Reading, browsing, games, photo's videos, apps. I cant go back to the iPad 2.

To be able to run these fullhd+ ultra-hi-res apps the graphical power was enhanced by a lot, to make sure everything works smooth as butter, like it should. The RAM was also changed to 1 GB. This makes all the difference in the world, especially with the higher resolution, because you need better textures, samples, whatever. The browser doesnt run out of ram, etc etc. It just enhances the device so much. Because all of this would drain the battery very fast they added a lot more battery to make sure it can keep running just like you would expect.

Now if this raises the temperature of the device by a few degrees (barely noticable unless measured) in some situations. That's fine with me. It's a simple trade-off. Im not even going to start about the added weight. You wouldnt even know the difference if i handed you both blindfolded.

Now intua, i cant wait for your update for the iPad 3!

Not saying that the ipad3 isnt good, im just saying it isnt much of a trade up...

My bad i was talking about the actual ram in the core cpu...its 256x4, the ipad2 is 256x2! Now you might think thats double eh? Well you'd not be totally correct... 2 of the cores are specifically for graphic performance only... So its not gonna enhance your audio experience other than the graphics of the app.

If you play games and watch movies...prolly a good trade up...if not...nope
Im not worried about the heat as i may feel it, im worried about internal temp causing part failure as apple doesnt like fixing their ipads much in many peoples experience! So it will remain on my maybe list for at least 5-6 mnths more!

I am not against the ipad 3! In fact if you dont already own the ipad, then its a no brainer to get the three!

I still await a user filetree in ios
I still await 4 gig ram
I also think 128gig storage would be dope, as well as ios defined user storage!
