LOOP TOGGLE in drum machine - PLEASE!

edited May 2012 in General
LOOP TOGGLE in the drum machine is a feature that definitely needs to be in the next update of beat maker!

I just bought beat maker and was hoping on using it live with a drum pad to trigger loops and drum samples. As you know, there's no way to HOLD a note on a drum pad, so HOLD + LOOP does me know good. I need a way to start a loop by hitting the corresponding pad, then have it continue LOOPING until I hit that same pad again. Thereby TOGGLING the LOOP on and off. In my opinion, this is the only thing holding this product back from being truly awesome for live use.

Great product otherwise <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

    Hello digitalt,

    We've added loop toggling support in our next update (2.3).
    It works as you describe, with quantization, making it perfect for live use.

    Stay tuned !
    Mathieu.

    Workaround:
    You can use one pad to cut off the loop or sound from another pad, by using the same x-group on both pads, and turn the volume all down on the pad you use to cut off (because the x-group only works if theres a sample on that pad.)

    No quantiziation tho.
